Plenum of Citizens of the Tuzla Canton

Proclamation

The Plenum of Citizens of the Tuzla Canton sends ultimate demands to the Parliament of the Tuzla Canton

12 February 2014

Peaceful protests continue in Tuzla. The Plenum met in the overcrowded hall of the National Theater and is unanimous that all demands brought forward by the Plenum thus far must be resolved right away. The Plenum supports further peaceful protests in all cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and gives support to all new plenums.

WE DEMAND

That within the period of 72 hours, the Parliament of the Tuzla Canton:

– abolishes and stops the payment of the so-called “white bread”, respectively the payment of wages to the Prime Ministers and Ministers once they stop exercising their office;

– abolishes additional payments to representatives of power of the Tuzla Canton on the basis of participation in commissions, committees and other bodies, as well as other unreasonable and unjustifiable fees except those to which all employees have the right to;

– commences daily meetings, without compensation, of the Members of Parliament, until the election and naming of an expert government, in cooperation with the Plenum, which will be comprised of professional, non-partisan, uncompromised members.

If the Parliament of the Tuzla Canton does not fulfill these demands within the given period, the Plenum announces the organisation of demonstrations in front of the Parliament of the Tuzla Canton.

So far, twelve working groups have been established according to thematic areas and one working group for the cooperation with all workers. The Plenum calls upon all citizens to actively participate in the work of these groups and to actively participate in the creation of the demands of the Plenum, which the future expert, non-partisan and ethically uncompromised government will be obliged to execute.

This announcement is brought forward by the Plenum of Citizens of the Tuzla Canton, for the good of us all.
